Promoting farmer entrepreneurship
Introduction
Most of the civil society organizations supporting farmers in Uganda have been traditionally associated with service delivery. However, a number of issues affecting farmers are of a policy nature and need intervention of government policy. In addition, policy issues affecting farmer entrepreneurship are being formulated and debated at national and local levels. This calls for an active involvement of the APF network as key partners working with small scale farmers. The APF network will therefore build a strong advocacy platform that will contribute to creating a conducive national policy environment that favors farmer entrepreneurship in Uganda.
