Dear members,

Broederlijk Delen (BD), is a Belgian NGO working in Uganda with rural partner organizations in Rwenzori Region and Lango Region.

Although BD is not specialized in MF support, it cannot deny that insufficient access to rural and particularly agriculture finance is an important roadblock for many partner organizations supporting farmers and farmers organizations.
During a workshop in Lango region, both partner organizations and financial institutions recognized the lack of even basic information on financial services and service providers in rural communities.

Before taking any other action, BD would like to know if any institution or organization has a comprehensive and detailed overview of the existing formal financial services offered by Ugandan banks, MFI’s and MDI’s concerning eligibility, conditions, procedures, etc.?
If such information is available we would appreciate if it could be shared.

Thank you very much for your consideration,

Lut Vandamme,
Broederlijk Delen

As regards the VECO study you have commented on. I have not seen the full desk study.

My question to you: Can you post this question again in the forum. I can then follow-up with a broadcast mail to the network to see if we get some more input and to get the dicussion going on how to generate such a menu as this is something I belive emore APF members are looking for.
